- Position: Lead Field Sergeant

Job Summary/Objective
- Lead by example while upholding all DMS policies, standards, and the code of ethics. Train DMS Officers and build professional relationships to generate quality services at all locations.
Essential Functions
Inspect Officers to ensure uniform requirements are met. Inspect sites for hazards and security concerns. Ensure quality services at client locations. Inspect vehicles twice a week. Ensure Officer quality and on-the-job training for patrol and static locations. Assist in developing and reinforcing a positive company culture. Ensure proper staffing and respond to call-outs or no shows. Respond promptly to Officer-related calls in the field. Maintain a detailed work journal.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Operate as the highest-ranking supervisor on-site until relieved.
- Assist with the performance improvement plan (PIP) for Officers.
- Maintain and respond to the patrol/supervisor phone.
- Uphold DMS policies, standards, and ethics.
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor work in potentially unsafe conditions such as construction zones. PPE provided when necessary. Work may include extreme weather conditions.
Physical Demands
- Requires the ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally, climb stairs, ramps, or ladders, and work in various environments, including inclement weather.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- Overnight position with flexible hours based on weekly and monthly needs.
Travel
- Travel to job postings within an hour from the office may be required. Overnight travel may be necessary. Officers must complete DMS’s 40-hour training at the company office in Lakewood, CO.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma (or equivalent, such as GED) Some college courses Fluent in English, with proficiency in reading and writing.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must have been with DMS Inc. for at least 6 months. One year of previous supervisory experience. P.O.S.T. Certified. A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field. No write-ups in the last 90 days.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver’s license.
